Among many things, Renders talks about her tutelage under artist Eric Loder. She also talked about the women’s art collective called Artemis and their epic group show at Twohey’s furniture store in 2006 called Furniture, Fissures and Fancies. The Candidates, The Issues, Our Future: Artsvote Peterborough 2018!

EC3 and our Artsvote Peterborough Coalition partners led an evening of conversation and discussion about the arts in Peterborough on October 16th, 2018.
The evening included a Conversation on the Arts component with the Mayoralty candidates and Roundtable Discussions with Ward candidates.
We recorded the table leaders as they summarized the positions of the candidates on some key issues facing the arts, culture and heritage sector.

Volume 12: On Hospitality Part 2

We’re back for part two of the artist talks from EC3’s Downtown Artists in Residence Project: On Hospitality. 

Six local artists were selected to take part in the residency and were invited to contemplate the theme of hospitality. A cross-cultural value, hospitality can be expressed, understood, and interpreted in diverse ways. The Indigenous, settler, and newcomer artists taking part shared their unique perspectives on the subject as well as their diverse artistic practices.

An exhibition, performance works, and public engagement activities, created in response to these collective investigations were delivered throughout Artsweek 2018. Featuring Brad Brackenridge, Kelly O’Neill, Nick Ferrio, Rodney Fuentes, Mayelin Lovet, and Alice Williams.
